It's National Night Out! All Week!

Tonight law enforcement agencies from around Delmarva will be participating in National Night Out. The evening is designed to grow support in neighborhoods, explain crime prevention, and build relations between the community and police. This is apparently the 34th year for the national event, that more than 16,000 communities participating.

DELAWARE:

DELMAR, Del. – Friday, August 4th – This year's National Night Out event in Delmar will be held at the Delmar Park from 5 PM to 8 PM on August 4th. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the festivities in an effort to bring the community and law enforcement together. There will be free food, games for kids, and more.

MILFORD, Del. - August 1st - Once again the Milford Police Department's Community Policing Unit is sponsoring the 24th annual "Milford's Night Out" celebration in Milford on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017.  This year's event will feature the "The Honeycombs" band, playing from 6 PM to 8 PM. The event will be held at Bicentennial Park in Downtown Milford from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  There will be free food, drinks, and emergency vehicles on display.  Some of this year's participants include Carlisle Fire Company, Houston VFC, Division Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement, Nemours,  City of Milford, Delaware Natural Resources Police, Sussex County EOC, and Sussex County EMS just to name a few. The purpose of this event is to heighten awareness of our services and crime prevention, but more importantly to continue to build a strong relationship with the Milford Community.

MILTON, Del. – Wednesday, August 2nd – The Milton Police Department invites everyone to come out to this year's National Night Out event in Milton.  The Milton will be held in the Milton Park on Chandler Street from 5 PM to 9 PM. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, and enjoy the free food and concert by the Honeycombs. There will be displays from multiple local and state agencies as well as local Milton businesses. Don't forget to stay for our K-9 demonstration featuring our very own Finn and Xena.

MARYLAND:

CRISFIELD, Md. - August 1st - National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer. Supporting National Night Out, the Maryland State Police will join various communities and other law enforcement agencies to interact with members of the community, where people can learn ways to help make their neighborhood a safer place to live. A variety of events from block parties to festivals will be held all over the state for National Night Out. The Crisfield National Night Out event will be at Somers Cove Marina at 715 Broadway from 6 PM to 8 PM.

DELMAR, Md. – Friday, August 4th - The Delmar Police Department will host their National Night Out event at State Street Park on August 4th from 5 PM to 8 PM.  The police department invites everyone to come out for a great time with family, friends, and the community.

FRUITLAND, Md. - August 1st – National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer. Supporting National Night Out, the Maryland State Police will join various communities and other law enforcement agencies to interact with members of the community, where people can learn ways to help make their neighborhood a safer place to live. A variety of events from block parties to festivals will be held all over the state for National Night Out. The Fruitland National Night Out event will be at the Fruitland Little League Fields at 200 South Brown Street from 5 PM to 8 PM.

SALISBURY, Md. – August 1st – National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer. Supporting National Night Out, the Maryland State Police will join various communities and other law enforcement agencies to interact with members of the community, where people can learn ways to help make their neighborhood a safer place to live. A variety of events from block parties to festivals will be held all over the state for National Night Out. The Salisbury National Night Out event will be at the Salisbury City Park at 521 South Park Drive from 5 PM to 7 PM.

POCOMOKE CITY, Md. - August 1st - The Pocomoke City Police Department invites everyone to come out for the 34th annual National Night Out event at the downtown Cypress Park from 5 PM to 8 PM. There will be food, games, and music for everyone to enjoy. Senator Jim Mathias is scheduled to be in attendance as well as many local businesses and organizations who will come together to celebrate a safe and secure community. This year's theme is "Crime Has No Future In Pocomoke City." All are invited to come out and enjoy the festivities.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - August 1st – National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer. Supporting National Night Out, the Maryland State Police will join various communities and other law enforcement agencies to interact with members of the community, where people can learn ways to help make their neighborhood a safer place to live. A variety of events from block parties to festivals will be held all over the state for National Night Out. The Princess Anne National Night Out event will be at the Garland Hayward Youth Center at 30660 Hampden Avenue from 6 PM to 8 PM.

VIRGINIA:

EXMORE, Va. - August 1st - The Exmore Police Department will host their 2nd annual National Night Out event on August 1st from 6 PM to 9 PM. The event will be held at Exmore Town park on Main Street. All residents and visitors on the Eastern Shore of Virginia are invited to to come out and enjoy the festivities. Various community and service organizations will be on hand to provide information to the public, including IDENT-A-KID finger-printing by the Northampton County Sheriff's Office. There will be entertainment, games, giveaways, food, and more. McGruff the Crime Dog will even be in attendance for photos and paw-shaking.
