Carly Pearce has filed for divorce from Michael Ray after just eight months of marriage. She reportedly filed the paperwork on this past Friday. Carly and Michael went public with their romance in June of 2018. In December of that year they got engaged, and they tied the knot at a farm near Nashville in front of a small group of family and friends on October 6, 2019.
A source told People.com of Carly, "This was a hard decision. It wasn't something she wanted to have to do. This hasn't been a quarantine realization — it was a last resort."
The two were last spotted together on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry on June 6th where fellow performer Steve Wariner sat between them. Fans have been swirling about trouble within the relationship for the last several weeks as they both quit posting and commenting about each other on social media.
