A new study published by Internet Matters reveals that 64% of kids are using A.I. programs like ChatGPT for everything from schoolwork to friendship. Other findings:
- 50% of young users say talking to a chat bot feels like talking to a friend
- 15% of kids say they would rather speak to a bot than a real person
- only 34% of parents have discussed how to assess the truthfulness of A.I. content with their children
- 62% of parents are concerned about the accuracy of A.I.-generated information
