Road Rage Study

A new survey by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety reveals that 96% of drivers have engaged in aggressive driving behaviors over the past year. Other findings:

- 11% of drivers have taken violent actions, such as intentionally bumping another car

- 20% of people know someone who has been threatened with a weapon in a road rage incident

- Drivers who witness higher levels of aggressive driving are more likely to drive aggressively themselves

-82% of people speed through a yellow light when it is about to change to red 

-66% of people honk at another driver when they do something wrong 

-65% of people glare at another driver when they do something wrong 

-58% of people drive 15 mph over the speed limit
