Chris Young took the stage at Nashville’s Tin Roof Broadway for a special live performance of his 10 Number One singles as he joined his music industry friends, including country icon Randy Travis, and family on Tuesday (March 6th) night in celebrating the chart-topping success of “Losing Sleep.” Renamed “Ten” Roof just for the momentous occasion, Chris hit the stage at the end of the party to perform each of his ten chart-toppers which include:
“Getting’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)”*“The Man I Want To Be”“Voices”*“Tomorrow”*“You”*“Who I Am With You”“I’m Comin’ Over”*“Think Of You” with Cassadee Pope*“Sober Saturday Night” featuring Vince Gill*“Losing Sleep”**co-written by Chris Young
Chris said, “We have no idea if we ever get to stand with a microphone in front of people at a No. 1 party ever again. I didn’t think I’d get to do my first one. It really is one of those things where I went from playing at El Chico on Murfreesboro Road, and with everybody’s support . . . my family’s support . . . and a lot of luck, right now I’m standing up here talking about my tenth No. 1 and Randy Travis is sitting over there.”
Chris told us that the milestone accomplishment of 10 Number Ones was not lost on him. ["It's tough to have 10 singles on the radio, much less 10 hits, much less 10 Number Ones, so this is a really, really big defining moment for me and it's something that we're gonna throw down and enjoy."] SOUNDCUE (:13 OC: . . . down and enjoy.)
Chris was also suprised with a Double Platinum plaque for his multi-week Number One, “I’m Comin’ Over.”
