Kane Brown Takes A Wild Ride In New Love Song 'Like A Rodeo'

Kane Brown is comparing falling in love to a rodeo in his new song, "Like a Rodeo."

The 25-year-old singer released the new track on Friday (July 12) after teasing it earlier in the week. The song is paired with black and white cover art featuring a young Brown on a horse.

The lyrics dive into the feelings and emotions of meeting someone for the very first time and instantly feeling that spark while using imagery from a rodeo to compare the two. Brown sings on the track: I picked you up with the cowboy nod/At the hotel bar/It was less than 8 seconds/Girl, you stole my heart.

Later in the song, Brown reflects on being able to hold onto the girl even through the ups and downs of the relationship, much like the way a cowboy must hold on during his time in the rodeo arena: Girl there's something kinda dangerous/About the way you move/I knew it wouldn't be easy/Hanging onto you/'Cause when you hit the lights/Put your lips on mine/It gets hotter than a Houston night.

Luckily, Brown's real-life relationship is going a little smoother than a rodeo. He and his wife Katelyn got married at Mint Springs Farm in Nolensville, Tennessee, on October 12, 2018. The couple also announced the news this April that they're expecting their first child!

"Like a Rodeo" comes a few weeks after the country crooner released his genre-bending song "One Thing Right" with DJ Marshmello. He's currently out on the Ride All Night Tour with Jason Aldean and Carly Pearce until the end of September.
