Luke Combs Reveals How He Copes With The Pressures Of Fame

If you turn on country radio at any given moment, you'll more than likely hear a song by Luke Combs playing. The country singer has had six consecutive No. 1 songs (five of which came off his debut album) and he was basically catapulted into country superstardom in 2017 with the release of This One's For You.

In a new interview with People, the “Beer Never Broke My Heart” singer opened up about struggling with his rise to fame. “I definitely struggled with it at times,” he revealed. “I dealt with it probably a lot last year as things were really taking off and really getting kicked into high gear.”

Thankfully, Combs has been able to cope with the pressures that come with being famous and has adjusted to his new life in the spotlight. “I’ve definitely pushed past all that stuff now,” he revealed. “The best medication was just to work through things. And I’m definitely way more at peace now with it than I was a year ago.”

You might think that trying to achieve the same amazing feats on his sophomore album would bring incredible pressure to the singer, but Combs said he doesn't feel it. “I don’t think I feel it much just because I’m having so much fun doing it,” he said. “It’s not like there’s people standing outside my house going, ‘Hey, this next record better be great!’”

But there is one small thing that he may feel pressure about: his upcoming wedding to Nicole Hocking; which will take place sometime next year.
