A new study published in PLOS One reveals that people, who use emojis, are perceived as more caring and responsive by their friends. Researchers say using appropriate emojis can improve relationships because they lead to stronger feelings of closeness and satisfaction. They found that both "face" emojis and non-face emojis (like hearts) are equally effective. The researchers concluded that adding emojis to text conversations can help improve interactions by signalling warmth and attentiveness.
