A new survey by Lending Tree reveals that 27% of self-checkout shoppers admit they've stolen. Other findings:
- 37% of people believe it's acceptable to steal from a self-checkout machine like taking extra change
- 47% of people say they have intentionally stolen at a self-checkout line because of today's tough economy
- 39% of people have intentionally stolen from a self-checkout line because they feel today's prices are unfair
