A new survey by Intuit reveals that 64% of parents say money is tight and they want their kids to understand why. Other findings:
- 81% of parents say their current financial stress has made them realize how important it is to teach their kids about money
- 38% of parents show their youngsters what rent, utility, and other household bills look like
- 66% of parents say no to purchases more often
- 57% of parents involve kids in grocery shopping to make them aware of costs
- 35% of parents explain how loans, credit cards, and interest work
