A new survey by BYU reveals that 14% of people regularly interact with a romantic AI companion. Other findings:
- More than 20% of people have experimented with a romantic AI companion
- 15% of young adults in committed relationships have a romantic AI companion
- 30% of people say their partner has no knowledge of their romantic AI companion
- 70% of people say it is somewhat or extremely important that their real-life partner never learn the full extent of their relationship with their romantic AI companion
