A new survey by The Star reveals that singles spend more on groceries than married couples. Other findings:
- 80% of singles say their grocery bills continue to rise despite their efforts to cut costs
- Singles spend an average of $102 per week on groceries or $22 more than married couples
- A weekly grocery bill over $100 today would have been 20% to 30% lower five years ago
