Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick are about to become parents!

The two country stars, who said “I do” in October 2022, shared the sweet announcement on Tuesday morning (March 31). They posted a clip on Instagram that opens with the moment Patrick surprised her husband with the pregnancy news. The pair sat at the kitchen counter before sharing a meal together, and she prayed, “Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this day and just for your presence in our lives. Thank you for our beautiful home and this beautiful marriage that you’ve blessed us with. And most of all, thank you for my amazing husband, who I know is also going to be an amazing dad.”

“Wait, what? Are you kidding me?” Tenpenny reacted with a smile. “Are you serious right now?”

“We’re going to have a baby!” Patrick confirmed as the couple embraced one another.

The video, set to Tenpenny’s “Speed of Light,” continues with a compilation of the moments they told family members about the pregnancy, Tenpenny’s emotional reaction to a sonogram image, and the gender reveal. Tenpenny (who joked at the end of the video, “oh, sh*t, it didn’t film”) and Patrick will welcome a baby girl later this year. Tenpenny wrote in the caption: “We’ve been blessed with the greatest gift of all this year! God is so good and always right on time… we can’t wait to be Mom and Dad 💗”

The announcement quickly garnered comments congratulating the parents-to-be, including HARDY, Harper Grace, Abby Smyers (married to Dan + Shay’s Dan Smyers), Nicole Combs (married to Luke Combs), Jon Langston and others in the country music community.

Tenpenny and Patrick are the latest country artists to announce a baby on the way this year.
