A new survey by NerdWallet reveals that 17% of singles consider credit card debt to be a dating dealbreaker. Other findings:
- 50% of people have lied about or withheld financial information from their current romantic partner.
- top dealbreakers are … a partner not being truthful about their finances (54%) or asking to borrow money (46%).
- 47% of people lie about money-related issues to their partners
- 35% of singles have broken up with someone due to money issues
- 39% of singles say a partner who wants to split the cost of dates 50/50 is a green flag, 27% say it’s a red flag and 34% say it’s a yellow flag.
