A new survey by LendingTree reveals that 43% of people are counting on an inheritance or financial gift to fund their retirement. Other findings:
- Only 57% of people have clearly discussed the amount, timing or likelihood of an expected inheritance while 16% have not discussed it at all.
- 43% of people, age 65 and older, plan to give an inheritance or financial gift.
