Beauty and the Beast (PG) 2 Hours, 9 Minutes
Disney's live action remake of "Beauty and the Beast" stars Emma Watson as Belle and a British actor named Dan Stevens as the Beast. Some of you might know him from "Downton Abbey", or the X-Men spinoff "Legion".
They wanted to make sure this Belle is a 21st century heroine who can empower the next generation of young girls. And Emma says, quote, "I know what she meant to me as a little girl. When you love something that much, you really want to do it justice."
The rest of the cast includes Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Belle's father Maurice, and Josh Gad as Gaston's henchman LeFou. Plus: Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts.
The movie has already set a record in advance ticket sales. It's getting great reviews and is expected to clear between $120 and $140 million on its opening weekend.
"T2: Trainspotting" (R) 1 Hour, 57 Minutes
Ewan McGregor returns as Mark "Rent Boy" Renton.
At the end of the first movie, he abandoned his friends to make a clean break from his heroin addiction, after seeing Franco's out of control violence, and stealing the money they'd made from a drug deal.
Now he's come back 20 years later to make amends to Simon and try to help Spud with his addiction. But Franco's worse than ever and still wants his revenge.
Except for Spud, everyone in the original cast went on to pretty solid acting careers . . . Johnny Lee Miller from "Elementary" is back as Simon / Sick Boy. Robert Carlyle is Franco. You might know him better as the Dark One on "Once Upon a Time".
