Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton Together One Final Time

This is a big week for Kenny Rogers. The legendary entertainer received a star on the Music City Walk of Fame yesterday in Nashville. Rogers received the 80th star on the walk of fame located on Nashville’s Music Mile.

Tonight, Rogers will be honored with the star-studded All In For The Gambler: Kenny Rogers’ Farewell Concert Celebration, which will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The show will feature Kenny's friends and fellow artists including Dolly Parton, Little Big Town, Alison Krauss, The Flaming Lips, Idina Menzel, Jamey Johnson, Elle King, Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton, Lady Antebellum and Wynonna Judd.

The show will close with a duet by Rogers and Parton. He tells us the entire event was Parton's brainchild. "Well you know, Dolly it was her idea, we were talking and she said, 'You can't go on tour without me and you . . . I mean, you can't retire without me and you going on stage again and singing something together live for the very last time.' She said, 'You need to have a party.'  And she said, 'You need to have it big enough so all of your friends can come.'

All In For The Gambler will be taped for later airing. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation and the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center.
