The followup to Jason Aldean's latest chart-topping hit, "You Make It Easy," is a duet with Miranda Lambert called "Drowns The Whiskey." It's the second single from his new Rearview Town album, which was released last month.
Jason said, “The way fans and radio have responded to this record has been really cool for me. ‘Whiskey’ has always been a favorite of mine, but when Miranda came in and knocked out her parts in only a couple takes, I knew it was special."
Jason says Miranda was the perfect addition to "Drowns The Whiskey": “Drowns The Whiskey” is probably the countriest song on the record but I love songs like this. I called my friend Miranda Lambert to come in and help me sing on this one. We had actually done a song before on an album I had called Relentless and the song was called “Grown Woman” and I just always thought our voices sounded really well together. So, I’ve been wanting to do something with her recently and I called her up and I thought this would be a perfect song. She came in and took what I thought was a great song and took it to another level so this is country but it’s really cool and definitely one of my favorite songs."
Jason launches his High Noon Neon tour with special guests Lauren Alaina and Luke Combs in Kansas City, MO on Thursday.
