Less than one month after Delaware's own Jimmie Allen made history as the first African American artist to launch his career with a Number One on Country radio, he sets even more records with the return of his debut single, “Best Shot,” to the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
"Best Shot" is also the first song by any artist to return to Number One on Country Airplay after descending in over a decade.
Jimmie told Billboard, "Seeing the resurgence of ‘Best Shot’ to the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart is a testament to how great of a team I have. They have continued to fight for this song when so many others would have given up. I am so thankful to Country Radio and its listeners for their support. Seeing ‘Best Shot’ connect with the hearts of so many is evidence that we are a lot more alike than we are different."
His busy schedule continues as he will appear on daytime TV’s Steve Harvey Show on December 18th, and following four appearances (since October) including a co-hosting stint with Kathie Lee and Hoda, Jimmie will return for his fifth appearance on NBC’s Today show on December 27th to perform his song “Make Me Want To” and take part in the latest “Guys Tell All" panel.
Don't forget he'll be at the Rusty Rudder in Dewey for two sold out shows on December 22nd.
