Montgomery Gentry Releases New Music, Coming to Cowboy Coast in a week!

Montgomery Gentry will release a new seven-song EP called Outskirts on June 14th. The songs were recorded in September of 2017, the same month and year of Troy Gentry's untimely death in a helicopter crash.

Eddie Montgomery said, "Can't wait for my friends to hear these songs. T-Roy and I had a blast recording them.”

Outskirts features two cover songs – Eddie’s version of Merle Haggard’s “What Am I Going To Do With The Rest Of My Life,” and Troy’s take on the Darrell Scott classic “You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive.”

The project also features guitar virtuoso Steve Vai's guitar playing on a song called “King of the World.” Eddie said, "'King of the World' is the way I want to live my life when I grow up. When I found out that guitar God, Steve Vai, was into it . . . that made it the s**t. Wow, still can’t believe Steve Vai is playing on one of my songs!!”

Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry continues to tour coast to coast. He will perform a special Underground Fan Club party at Acme Feed and Seed during CMA Fest in Nashville on June 4th.
