Randy Travis offered a sneak peek of his first new studio recording in more than a decade.

Travis, 64, posted a snippet of “Where That Came From” on his social media pages on Wednesday morning (May 1). Travis posted a brief teaser earlier this week, garnering hundreds of comments from fans and others in the country music community, including Zac Brown Band frontman Zac Brown, Carrie Underwood, Nate Smith, Lainey Wilson, Cole Swindell, Alexandra Kay, Clay Walker, Drake Milligan and others. Some country artists even shared videos of their reaction to the song when they listened for the first time. Cody Johnson said it’s “incredible. Y’all aren’t ready!” Chase Matthew said it was a “legendary” moment when Travis shared the unreleased track with him. Josh Turner’s wife wiped her eyes, and Turner said he “might be the most excited for this.”

“It’s been a while since my last new recording, but I’m excited to share that this Friday, May 3, I will be releasing my first brand new studio recording in more than a decade, ‘Where That Came From,’ Travis announced. “You’ll hear much more about the special team of folks who came together to help make this magical moment in my career possible in the coming week. In the meantime, just know that when it comes to me singing songs for you, there’s always more where that came from. Thank you for singing along all these years.”

Travis is known for many classic country hits throughout his decades-long career, including “Deeper Than the Holler,” “On the Other Hand,” “Forever and Ever, Amen,” and many more. “Where That Came From” will arrive on Friday (May 3).
