Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties in Maryland as well as Accomack county in Virginia have been placed under a Tropical Storm Warning through Friday evening. According to 47 ABC Meteorologist Ulises Garcia, Hurricane Dorian "will bring tropical storm conditions to parts of the peninsula. Expect breezy to windy conditions, along with rain, some coastal flooding, beach erosion and rough surf. Highs will be cool in the low to mid 70s. Winds will be strongest on the beach with gusts up to 60 mph, while inland areas will have gusts between 35-45 mph. Rainfall amounts will also be heaviest in areas south and east of Salisbury between 1-3 inches, while areas north and west of Salisbury will be less than an inch."

According to 47 ABC, Somerset County officials have reportedly advised residents of Smith Island to evacuate in advance of Hurricane Dorian's movement towards Delmarva.
