The Good Stuff! An Unlikely Reunion!

There's a woman in Seattle named Kathleen Chafin, who's in her mid 60s.  Back in college, she dated a guy named Harold Miller, and had a baby with him.  But they were pretty young, and decided to give it up for adoption.

Then about two years ago, their son Tom got in TOUCH with her.  She'd been trying to track him down on a bunch of adoption websites, and he finally saw one of her posts.

But that's not the best part of the story.  Because she also ended up getting back in touch with HAROLD.  He's in an assisted-living community in Tulsa now, where he's still dealing with some injuries from Vietnam.

Apparently he never had any other kids, so connecting with his son was a big deal for him.  They talked on Skype, and he also found out he has four GRANDKIDS.

Kathleen ended up having six more kids, including four she adopted.  But she got divorced a while back.  And now it looks like she and HAROLD are giving things another chance.

They broke up 48 years ago, but she went to see him in November, and flew back this week for Valentine's Day.  They were planning to have sushi and go see "La La Land".

She's planning to retire soon, and told the local news, quote, "I know I want to be with him.  How?  When?  Where?  I don't know.  But it's going to happen."
