On April 30th a friendly feud began between Froggy 99.9's Randy Scott and Angry Local Mom, Amy Luppens. Upon the completion of the Pinwheels for Protection 5K, Randy sprinted past Amy at the finish line, reveling in her defeat as she struggled to push her stroller-bound sumo-wrestler baby (according to Amy). It was a narrow margin... 2 seconds, to be exact. In good fun, Amy has challenged Randy to a rematch, and the stakes are high.
It's time to choose a side. You are either #teamrandy or #teamamy. You can't be both.
The adversaries are joining forces to raise money for some good local causes- Ben's Red Swings, United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
By donating $10 or more, you will receive your very own Team Randy or Team Amy t-shirt. Wear your shirt to the rematch, the Ben Layton Memorial 5K, taking place on June 17th at 9am at the Salisbury Zoo (at Ben's Red Swings) and show your team support. Or just wear it around town and make sure to tag yourself on social media with either #teamrandy or #teamamy to let the world know whose side you are on.
T-shirts can be picked up at Olympia Fitness Club (located in the Kmart Shopping Center in Salisbury), or they can be mailed to your home. Please indicate if you need your shirt mailed in the "notes" section.
